Marching Bobcats

The Marching Bobcats is the most visible component of the Battlefield Bands. Marching season lasts from August through early November, and typically includes:

• Summer Camp - 3 weeks of daily band camp to learn the bulk of that year’s show (August - Start of School)
• Practices - 3 after school or evening rehearsals per week after school starts<
• Football Games - 5 halftime shows at home football games (and 1-2 pep bands at away games)
• Competitions - 5 regional marching competitions (Saturdays)
• Parades - 2 parades (Haymarket Day and Christmas)
• Info Night - 1 informational meeting for current students, rising 8th Graders, and parents (Spring)

Did You Know?

You can buy or sell gently used marching band equipment, band instruments, or concert wear attire.  Check out the CHAT function in CHARMS.  This equipment exchange is provided as a courtesy to our students and their families by the BSO.  All transactions are handled by the interested parties independent of the BSO and Battlefield High School.
